1. The character you first fell in love with:

My first real Zelda game was Ocarina of Time. I was like...eight? I think? I read the guidebook to my 6yo brother and he killed monsters (I was scared of that really big spider ). I adore almost everyone in OoT now, but, well--what do you expect an 8yo to latch onto? As soon as Darunia did his little dance, I was hooked. It was even better when he tried to hug Link at the end. I thought it was the most hilarious thing EVER. I still think he's hilarious, of course. who doesn't?

2. The character you never expected to love as much as you do now:

The Happy Mask Salesman. He was mildy annoying when I was a kid, but he's so delightfully creepy to me now! He's also hilarious. I love him. <3

3. The character everyone else loves that you don't:

Ilia! She's just not very interesting. She spends half the game being ~sweet~ and ~perfect~ and she ~can't remember her past~ and blegh, gag me. Give the girl some fire, c'mon!

4. The character you love that everyone else hates:

Navi! She's annoying as hell as a gameplay mechanic, but I love her as a fanfic concept, as a character rather than a broken system. She was always so nice to Link, after all. :3 Except, you know, when she was annoying him to death.

5. The character you used to love but don't any longer:

You know, I really can't think of any!

Heavy Rain

1. The character you first fell in love with:

Ethan. ;_; He was so cute and such a good dad and sjgdkjghkfdg I was all bummed for him the entire game. Even now when I play I still spend most of the game wanting Norman someone to give him a hug.

Norman comes in very close second because his funny accent endeared me to him right away. I was rooting for him the whole time, poor bastard. <3

2. The character you never expected to love as much as you do now:

Shaun! :3 He seemed so generic the first time I watched the game through, but that was because we skipped some of the early plotless chapters (Prologue, The Park etc). Now it's like...SHAUN IS SO CUTE. DRIPPING WITH CUTE. THOSE ARE ETHAN'S GENES (Grace can die in a fire).

Also Lauren! She seemed kind of bitchy in her first scene, but by the end of the game I loved her nearly as much as I love norman and Ethan.

3. The character everyone else loves that you don't:

Madison. Bleeegh. Like, I used to like her! And I will admit she's badass. But a couple of playthroughs later if you think about it you kind of realize that she's also fucking insane. She wants to have sex with Ethan when he has BROKEN. RIBS. At his son's GRAVE she asks him to impregnate her. She takes foolish risks throughout the whole game instead of going to the police with her information just so she can get her story, NOT TO MENTION the fact that she was sexually exploited over and over again. (Look! Boobs! More boobs! You're going to buy this game now, right? No? MORE PORN!)

(Madison could also fit really well under #5.)

4. The character you love that everyone else hates:

IDK! Are there any hated characters in HR...? The villians maybe. I think Paco, Mad Jack, and Baker are all hilarious. That's just me though.

5. The character you used to love but don't any longer:

Scott. dgkjgkjgfkj SCOTT. IHU. The whole game I was all "haha he's so badass and funny and such a nice guy" and then they dropped the bomb and I was like WAT. So, I don't love Scott anymore D<

1. The character you first fell in love with:

Dean! I loved Dean from the very first second I saw him and I still love him. He's really charismatic and he has such a deep character.

2. The character you never expected to love as much as you do now:

Honestly? Cas. He was such a dick when he first showed up, and me loving Dean so much and Dean not liking him meant that I was less inclined to like him! But he grew on me and he's totally one of my favorites now! I love him sooo much kdfjgldskjfg <3333 ;_;

Also Mary. She was so boring when we first met her, but her history being fleshed out did a LOT to help her out. young!Mary is absolutely amazing; she is completely fierce.

3. The character everyone else loves that you don't:

That demon chick from Sin City. IDGI! Also, is their last name Campbell? Them too.

4. The character you love that everyone else hates:

Jo! IDK why everyone hates her...yeah, she's annoying, but she's practically a kid when she first appears! She's supposed to be annoying. She's pretty competent and chill for a teenager, and when she pops up again in S5 she's nothing short of pure badassery. SHE DESERVED A BETTER DEATH. Or better yet, no death at all! D<

5. The character you used to love but don't any longer:

Anna. she was really cool at first, very human even after she got her grace back. Then they broguht her back to be all ~evil~ and just meh. she's not evil. She's a sweetheart. It was very out of character, it rubbed me the wrong way, and her death was pointless and a little irritating. >

Final Fantasy VI

1. The character you first fell in love with:

Edgar and Locke. Yes, both of them! O< I loved them both from their very first lines. Locke had a few derp moments in the second half of the game, but Edgar stayed wonderful throughout the entire thing. He's fun, hilarious, and yet for a SNES game there's still a surprising amount of depth to him...all the characters, really. <3 Is it any wonder I ship?!

2. The character you never expected to love as much as you do now:

Celes. First playthrough she seemed kind of emo and annoying, but when I went back and took another look I was actually seeing a pretty no-nonsense, badass lady. And I do love badass ladies! She's tough as nails, and still feminine. Awesome!

3. The character everyone else loves that you don't:

Terra. She's pretty much just Ilia. She annoys the crap out of me! I'M SO CUTE AND SWEET~ I'M SO VERY INNOCENT~ LOVE ME, TEACH ME HOW TO LOVE~ I CAN'T REMEMBER ANYTHING, HORRIBLE THINGS HAVE HAPPENED TO ME~ idk it just pushed my Mary Sue buttons. No fucking thank you D<

Banon T_T He's pretty awesome, man. Yeah, okay, I'm speaking of my fanon version of him, but still...it's amazing to be able to come up with so much for such a minor character! I ship him with Edgar's dad. Me and ~style-xx used to be hardcore on FF6, man. ;_; *nostalgia*

Actually, I started out hating a lot of people and loving most of them by the end. I can't think of a single instance where it was the other way around. o_O

Final Fantasy in general, lol (couldn't think of a fifth fandom really)

1. The character you first fell in love with:

Well, my first Final Fantasy was technically Kingdom Hearts (lol), then FFX because of the cameos there. But I hated FFX (see below) and wound up playing FFIX second. FFIX I loved. The first character that really stole my heart (even though they all have it now) was Blank, when he got petrified and let Zidane go while he had to stay behind. I think it was the first time I legit cried during a Final Fantasy.  

2. The character you never expected to love as much as you do now:

>_>; Lightning, FFXIII. I was a hater right up until a few days before the game came out... "She's a Cloud clone! They're making her female so she can be a sex object! Her hair is stupid! Lightning's a dumb name!" And...yeah, a lot of that is true, but she's a pretty badass lady. More games need badass ladies and females starring as lead characters. Lightning reminds me a lot of Beatrix and Celes, actually. <3 There are parts of the game I like and a lot of parts I really hate, but Lightning is admittedly hella cool (and totally wants to do it with Fang).

3. The character everyone else loves that you don't:

dkjfhgodkjfg almost everyone from FFX. I mean, decent story/gameplay/etc but the characters just got on my nerves. The voice acting was bad, they weren't very deep, the whole game was just flat and slow and I have to stop now because I could go on and on and on...

4. The character you love that everyone else hates:

Lilisette, FFXI. Everyone says she's annoying, but I really like her! Since nobody ever plays FFXI, she stumbled into a way to travel back in time and she's trying to save her father from getting an injury that kills him later. I don't know how that story ends yet. She's awesome though--sassy, smart, determined, and funny. HATERS TO THE LEFT.

5. The character you used to love but don't any longer:

So, I've been drawing more lately because I have a tablet now, and I've been thinking about what to draw...I've come to the conclusion. It wasn't hard, really.

I like Final Fantasy. I didn't play 7-8 much, didn't finish 9-10, and to be honest didn't like 10 THAT much anyway. 11 is a whole different ball of wax just cause it's not single-player, but I love it too. Anyway, I nearly beat 1-2, got a good way through 3, and beat 4-6. This leads me to conclude that the 2D FFs must attract me more for some reason. Well, I like drawing, and I like the old FFs, so why not draw the old FFs? I'm better at drawing chicks, so why not draw chicks?

Yeah - I'm going to draw all the major chicks from FF1-FF6. Even FF2. I HATE FF2 and am tempted to draw it first so I can put boils all over Maria's nose, but I'll restrain myself. Here's the full list. Some may come off later if I decide they're not Major enough. I restrained myself from adding animals to the list, since that wasn't the point - I suck at drawing animals. (But seriously, I wanted to put Koko and Syldra up there. Oh FFV <3)

So in my piddly little town of Clinton, we do not get weather from our Local on the 8s.

We get Greenville's weather.

Greenville is an hour away if you drive.

Thus Greenville's weather =/= Clinton's weather.

So the Weather Channel was all "Hay guyz, it's gonna be snowingz!" And my brother and I were all "lolno" and "YOU #$&!ING TEASE" because Clinton doesn't get snow.

It gets slush. If we're lucky.

Even if it doesn't, when Greenville gets snow our entire town starts having riots at the grocery store and fighting over bread and milk.

So my mom has been flipping out all night, looking out the window every few seconds and claiming to see a snowflake. I started ignoring her awhile awhile, and went to bed thinking, Oh, Weather Channel, you're so cruel...

She woke me up at five this morning and told me our trampoline was covered.

It's five in the morning. I'm warm and very, very asleep. I'm like dude, shut up, it was a good dream.

So then I look out my window. And I'm thinking, dude, what the hell is all that white stuff on the ground?

Because Clinton doesn't GET snow. Especially if Greenville is. Clinton gets slush.

The news said there have been traffic accidents in our county! (South Carolinians can't drive when there's an eighth inch of snow on the ground.) The choice is clear: PLAY HOOKY, DUH.

My mom's a better woman than that, though. she left a few minutes ago.

I'm still trying to coerce my brother not to drive. He's never driven in snow before, so...

You'd think the last few days would be a time to say goodbye to everyone, everything, come to the next point in your life with insight and new readiness to take on the world. Now if ever is the time to take things seriously as you grow up and move on to a new way of thinking.

Pfffft. Not in South Carolina.

Our senior prank was really stupid. Some dudes outside parked their cars in a circle. A CIRCLE. Not even a cool design or anything. They just took up a bunch pf parking spaces. I mean, that's kind of lame. Then a bunch if them went upstairs at six-thirty in the morning and sprayed silly-string everywhere. Our school can't afford security cameras up there, or so we've always thought...but they were cleaning it up until seven at night.

My brother's idea was a little better. He graduates next year, and since his friend's dad owns a chicken farm (South Carolina, remember?), he's gonna take three chickens and put 'em in collars labeled #1, #2, and #4. He's going to get to school insanely early, spread chicken feathers EVERYWHERE, and release the chickens in strategic locations such as the gym, cafeteria, and the girls' bathroom. The idea is that the administration will eventually find Chicken One, Chicken Two, and Chicken Four, and spend the rest of the day looking for Chicken Three, and spend the rest of their lives wondering what the hell happened to Chicken Three and why they never found the damn thing.

I told him it sounded like a good idea and he needs to put it up on YouTube when he's done. He'll get caught, but hey. It's not my problem if he doesn't know there are cameras upstairs.

In my fourth period class yesterday (we only have four at my school, and today was a half-day), we ended the day off with a literal bang. It's a science lab, right, the only one we have in our school, and while the boys usually entertain themselves playing ping-pong with their arms (it's just South Carolina...), lately they've been melting random things in the back of the room. Yesterday I turned one of my nickels into charcoal. The day before that we made a keyring do a figure eight.

The guy melting my nickel was talking to the teacher about exam grades. I was busy filming the nickel's untimely death and kind of zoning out, so I only heard the last part of it.

Guy Melting My Nickel: ...so it won't pull me down much?
Teacher: No, no, the way they divide it you can only go down one fifth of fifty, five points.
Me: One fifth of fifty is ten points.
Teacher: I said that.
Me: No you didn't?
Teacher: Don't correct me. I'm an adult, and you're a child. (More South Carolina reasoning.)
Me: Actually, I'll be nineteen in less than one month.
Teacher: I said not to correct me.
GMMN: Look! It's all black now!

So he put it in the sink and we watched it steam up, and the guy decides he's going to run the water to wash all the nickel-gunk out of the sink. The sink has one of those looong faucets that look like someone did a 180 on a J, and his fist is just around the middle of it while he yaks to the guys next to him about how damn cool it was to kill my poor, defenseless nickel. All the sudden there is this really loud bang followed by a whoosh - somehow he's managed to take the metal part off of the sink...faucet, knobs, and all.

Well, the geyser was beautiful...for the first three seconds. Then he put his hand over it, and the water bounced off and started hitting people. It had to go in other directions and wound up doing these nice little circles, spraying in an O, etc, etc. Imagine turning on a hosepipe and seeing what you can make the water do with you hand. That's kind of how it was, except the water pressure was weaker. (Not too weak, though. It still shot straight up and nearly busted the light fixture above him before he covered it.)

They couldn't turn it off, so before the janitor got to our room, there was a small lake on the floor of our classroom and everybody was wet. Perfect chaos. They wouldn't let anyone help him mop it up, either.

Since seniors leave early, they take their exams early. My exams were today and yesterday. Yesterday my teacher assigned me a project instead of a test to do that was due next week. I told her I was a senior and she said, "Oh, that's all right. I'm sure you can turn it in somehow."

The rest of my class is full of juniors. Sigh...

In my Government class, my teacher couldn't keep us quiet. He urged us to try and get ten more minutes of education before the bell rang.

Please. I mean he's awesome, but come on.

In first period, we endured having to listen to the next room over have a screaming match while we tried to take a fifty-three question exam.

In the library, they're so busy trying to collect the books and fines that the young lady told me the old one had had an "upset stomach" the past three days due to the stress (she couldn't stop pooping...). I never really liked her, but...well, I liked her even less when she told me how much I owed her in late fees.

I loaned my friend a book they didn't bring back.

I still have to take a book back to somebody else. Crap, crap. I didn't turn in my science textbook!

Also, I haven't picked up my graduation gown from the dry-cleaners yet.

Two more graduation practices to go. I hear the preps had a huge fight about who was giving the speeches.

I swear, high school is crazy.

I signed my name on the bathroom wall today, told my art teacher goodbye, and walked through those crowded halls for the last time.

As much as I hated it, I think I'm gonna miss it, too.

Holy crap, I'm graduating.
